Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse, Sculptra

Several injectable fillers are used for non-surgical facial rejuvenation.

Restylane® is a dermal filler used to restore volume and fullness to moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. It is a non-animal=based hyaluronic acid that exists naturally in the human body.  Results are almost instantaneous.

Juvederm® is a dermal filler that includes hyaluronic acid, providing a smooth and supple appearance.  It lifts and adds volume to wrinkles and folds in the treatment area.  It is FDA approved to last one year. Juvederm is for lip augmentation. Juvederm XC smoothes moderate to severe parentheses wrinkles around the nose and mouth. Juvederm Voluma adds volume to correct age-related volume loss in checks to help create a more youthful appearance.

Two additional soft tissue fillers being used for their wrinkle reducing and volume-adding qualities are Sculptra®  and Radiesse® (formerly RadianceTM).  Radiesse® is composed of calcium hydroxylapatite, which has been used in the body for multiple applications including cheek and chin implants. Sculptra® is approved by the FDA for restoration and/or correction of the signs of facial fat loss (lipoatrophy) in people with human immunodeficiency virus.  It is also used for signs of age-related volume loss.
